Scope of this notice
We at Zipjet respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy notice tells you about how we look after your personal data when you visit our website (www.zipjet.co.uk) or use the Zipjet app or otherwise communicate with us and it tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.
This website is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect data relating to children.
What information do we collect?
If you register your details with us (via the app or the website) or otherwise communicate with us, we will need to collect certain information in order to communicate with you and provide you with our services. The types of information we collect and why we need to do so are set out below:

We also collect, use and share Aggregated Data such as statistical or demographic data for any purpose. Aggregated Data may be derived from your personal data but is not considered personal data in law as this data does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity. For example, we may aggregate your Usage Data to calculate the percentage of users accessing a specific website feature. However, if we combine or connect Aggregated Data with your personal data so that it can directly or indirectly identify you, we treat the combined data as personal data which will be used in accordance with this privacy notice.
Transfer of your personal information to third parties
Zipjet may employ the services of third parties to help us in certain areas, such as laundry collection, cleaning and return of goods at/from our cleaning facilities, delivery and hosting of the website and app, payment brokers, IT maintenance and identity checking. In some cases, these third parties may receive your personal information. If you provide details of a credit or debit card for payment, Zipjet may use third parties to check the validity of the sort code, account number and card number you submit in order to prevent fraud.
We require all third parties to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law.
We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes and only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.
Transfer of your information outside the EEA
Zipjet does not transfer your information outside the EEA, with the exception of Amazon Web Service’s cloud technology, Amazon S3 which hosts some of the data that you provide to us.
Whenever we transfer your personal data out of the EEA, we ensure a similar degree of protection is afforded to it by ensuring at least one of the following safeguards is implemented including:
• Where we use certain service providers, we may use specific contracts approved by the European Commission which give personal data the same protection it has in Europe.
• Where we use providers based in the US, we may transfer data to them if they are part of the Privacy Shield which requires them to provide similar protection to personal data shared between the Europe and the US.

Our product and service range is always changing and Zipjet would like to keep you up to date with details of our new products and services using the information that you have supplied to us.
You will receive marketing communications from us only if:
• you have requested information from us or purchased our services and you have not opted out of receiving that marketing; or
• you have expressly consented to receiving that marketing.
You can ask us to stop sending you marketing messages at any time by logging into your account and adjusting your marketing preferences or by following the opt-out links on any marketing message sent to you or by contacting us at any time.
How long will you use my personal data for?
We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for.
To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements.
In some circumstances we may anonymise your personal data (so that it can no longer be associated with you) for research or statistical purposes in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.

Zipjet uses the following categories of cookies:
Category 1: Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential in order to enable you to move around our website and our app and use their features. Without these cookies, services such as remembering your login details or shopping basket items cannot be provided.
Category 2: Performance Cookies
Category 3: Functionality Cookies
These cookies remember choices you make (such as search parameters regarding products and services). These can then be used to provide you with an experience more appropriate to your selections and to make your visits to our website and our app more tailored. The information these cookies collect may be anonymised and they cannot track your browsing activity on other apps/websites.
Category 4: Targeting cookies or advertising cookies
These cookies collect information about your browsing habits in order to make advertising more relevant to you and your interests. They are also used to limit the number of times you see an advert as well as help measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. The cookies are usually placed by third party advertising networks. They remember the websites you visit and that information is shared with other parties such as advertisers.
Category 5: Social Media Cookies
These cookies allow you to share what you have been doing on the App on social media such as Facebook and Twitter. These cookies are not within our control. Please refer to the respective privacy policies of the relevant social media outlet for how their cookies work.

6.2 Use of Web Beacons
Some sections of our app, our website and our emails may contain electronic images known as Web beacons (sometimes known as clear gifs) that allow us to count users who have visited these sections or read our emails. Web beacons collect only limited information which include a cookie number, time and date of a section view, and a description of the section on which the Web beacon resides. We may also carry Web beacons placed by third party advertisers. These beacons do not carry any personally identifiable information and are only used to track the effectiveness of a particular campaign.
We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know. They will only process your personal data on our instructions and they are subject to a duty of confidentiality.
We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.

Our website and our app may include links to third-party websites, plug-ins and applications. Clicking on those links or enabling those connections may allow third parties to collect or share data about you. We do not control these third-party websites and are not responsible for their privacy statements. When you leave our website, we encourage you to read the privacy notice of every website you visit.
Your legal rights
You have the right to make a complaint at any time to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection issues (www.ico.org.uk). We would, however, appreciate the chance to deal with your concerns about data protection before you approach the ICO so please contact us in the first instance.
Under certain circumstances, by law you have the right to:

You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights).
What we may need from you
We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.
Time limit to respond
We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it may take us longer than a month if your request is particularly complex or you have made a number of requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.
